Newsfeed
The newsfeed is where company-wide announcements live. Policy changes, safety alerts, important deadlines, team updates—anything that the whole organization needs to see.
Unlike project chats (which are specific to one project), newsfeed posts reach everyone.
Posting an announcement
Section titled “Posting an announcement”Click Newsfeed in the sidebar, then create a new post. Give it a clear title, write the content, and publish.
You can attach files if needed—maybe a PDF of the new policy or an image explaining a procedure change.
Mandatory posts
Section titled “Mandatory posts”Some announcements are too important to risk people missing them. Mark a post as “Mandatory” and team members will need to acknowledge they’ve read it.
Use mandatory posts for:
- Safety alerts
- Policy changes that affect everyone
- Compliance requirements
- Critical deadlines
You can track who has and hasn’t acknowledged, and send reminders to those who haven’t.
Scheduling posts
Section titled “Scheduling posts”If you want a post to go out at a specific time—maybe Monday morning rather than Friday afternoon—you can schedule it. Write the post now, set the publish time, and it goes out automatically.
Reading the newsfeed
Section titled “Reading the newsfeed”For everyone else, the newsfeed shows recent posts. Scroll through to see what’s been announced. If something’s marked mandatory, you’ll see a prompt to acknowledge it.
Posts can be pinned to stay at the top, so important ongoing announcements don’t get buried.
Newsfeed vs. chat
Section titled “Newsfeed vs. chat”Use the newsfeed for broadcast announcements—things everyone should know. Use chat for discussions and conversations where you need back-and-forth.
The newsfeed isn’t meant for questions or debates. It’s for “here’s information you need to know.”
