Understanding Projects

Projects are the primary way to organize work in Valiro. Each project represents a distinct initiative, assignment, or deliverable that your team is working on.

A project contains:

  • Work Packages - Major deliverables or phases of work
  • Tasks - Individual action items within work packages
  • Documents - Files and resources related to the project
  • Team Members - People assigned to the project

Projects follow a hierarchical structure:

  • Project - The top-level container
    • Work Package 1 - First phase or deliverable
      • Task A
      • Task B
      • Task C
    • Work Package 2 - Second phase or deliverable
      • Task D
      • Task E
    • Documents - Project-related files

This structure helps you break down large initiatives into manageable pieces while keeping everything organized in one place.

  • Progress Tracking - See status at a glance
  • Team Assignment - Assign project managers and team members
  • Timeline Management - Set planned start and end dates
  • Stage Workflow - Move projects through defined stages
