Editing Project Templates

Update existing project templates to reflect changes in your project requirements.

Editable Fields

All fields of a project template can be changed:

• Name - Update the template name
• Description - Change the template description
• Default Stage - Adjust the starting stage

Impact of Changes

Note

Changes to templates only affect new projects created from the template. Existing projects remain unchanged.

Example

If you change the default stage of a template from “Discovery” to “Planning”:

• New projects start in the “Planning” stage
• Existing projects keep their current stage

Deleting a Template

To delete a template:

1. Open the template overview
2. Use the delete action in the list

Caution

Deleting a template cannot be undone. Existing projects created from the template are preserved.

Best Practices

• Update templates regularly based on project experience
• Document changes in the description
• Test template changes with a test project
