Templates
The templates page allows you to create and manage reusable templates for projects and work packages. Templates save time and ensure consistency.
Template Types
Section titled “Template Types”There are two types of templates:
Project Templates
Section titled “Project Templates”Project templates define the basic structure of a project:
- Project name and description
- Default stage (discovery, planning, etc.)
- Included work package templates
Work Package Templates
Section titled “Work Package Templates”Work package templates define recurring work packages:
- Name and description
- Default tasks
- Estimated duration
Using Templates
Section titled “Using Templates”Creating a Project from a Template
Section titled “Creating a Project from a Template”- Go to “Projects” -> “New Project”
- Select a project template from the dropdown list
- The template automatically fills in the fields
- Adjust the values as needed
- Save the new project
Creating a Work Package from a Template
Section titled “Creating a Work Package from a Template”- Open a project
- Click “New Work Package”
- Select a template
- The template creates the work package with all defined tasks
Managing Templates
Section titled “Managing Templates”Creating a New Template
Section titled “Creating a New Template”Click “New” and select the template type. You can:
- Enter a name and description
- For project templates: Assign work package templates
- For work package templates: Define default tasks
Editing a Template
Section titled “Editing a Template”Click on a template to edit it. Changes only affect new projects/work packages, not those already created.
The page is divided into two tabs:
- Project Templates - View and manage all project templates
- Work Package Templates - View and manage all work package templates
Switch between tabs to see the desired templates.
